Amazon Discount “Service”

I recently began working on Amazon Mechanical Turk. A service which rewards workers, or “turkers”, with small amounts of cash for performing HITs (no, it is not a contract killing service). This was originally exclusive to the United States, but in 2016, the service opened to UK workers.
If you have your wits about you, and choose HITs which pay well for the time spent, you can easily make good money on the service. There’s no payment threshold and you can withdraw (in the US) to Amazon Gift Balance or to your bank account.

However, the story in the UK is extremely different, you can only get paid in Amazon.com (US site) gift balance, and this balance is non-transferable, exclusive to the US, non-refundable… you name it. It also cannot be used to purchase Amazon gift cards. So it became clear that I was going to have to use my earnings to order from Amazon.com. I then realised I would have to face shipping and import fees to the UK ranging anywhere from $13 to £130 for regular Amazon purchases.

I tried looking into ways to cash out my Amazon Gift Balance, which does not consist of gift card codes or anything which would help the selling process. One way involved giving gifts of Amazon Prime to users who would then pay 80% of value to you in cash. Another method involved placing Amazon orders for people in the US, and inputting their address into the address field. The customer would then pay 80% or so of the value in cash. This is the most optimum solution currently available, or it would have been… The payout is in Bitcoin. A quick transfer to a Coinbase account, 1.5% selling fee, then an effective 22% fee for the conversion from USD to GBP, and we’re done!

The above ideas don’t work for me, and it doesn’t work for anyone, so I’ve devised a better plan. I am going to fulfill Amazon US orders with my gift balance for anyone at a negotiable discount. My preferred rate is 10%, but I can easily increase this, or if you feel generous, it can be decreased too. The process will be as follows:

2. I will review your order and see if I can provide the discount specified, and make sure the item ships to your country.
3. Send me the value of the item with the agreed discount on PayPal or your preferred payments platform.
4. I place the order and wait for it to arrive at your doorstep.
5. Enjoy your item at a discount!
